At Bloom Dance Competition, we celebrate dancers at every stage of their journey. Whether you're just stepping into the competition world or you're a seasoned performer, we offer entry levels designed to ensure fair and exciting competition
SEED
Created for dancers with minimal training and no prior competition experience. This level is designed for first-time competitors to explore the stage in a supportive, low-pressure environment while building confidence and excitement for performing.
(INTRODUCTORY)
ROOT
Ideal for dancers with limited competition experience or those taking three or fewer hours of classes per week. This level helps dancers establish a foundation of skill and comfort on stage while beginning to grow as performers.
(NOVICE)
SPROUT
Designed for dancers with moderate competition experience who train four to six hours per week. This level balances challenge and development, encouraging dancers to refine their technique and performance quality.
(INTERMEDIATE)
BLOOM
Created for advanced dancers training seven or more hours per week. These performers demonstrate strong technical ability and stage presence, ready to elevate their artistry and compete at the highest level.

Every performance at Bloom Dance Competition is evaluated based on technique, performance, musicality/ precision, and choreography.

Our judges honor more than just technical precision, they celebrate the artistry, creativity, and presence that make a performance truly memorable. Special awards include Judges’ Choice for standout routines, Excellence in Choreography for innovative movement and storytelling, Excellence in Performance for captivating stage presence, Excellence in Technique for exceptional technical skill, and Excellence in Sportsmanship, awarded to one studio that exemplifies kindness and respect throughout the weekend.

The highest-scoring routines in each category and age division receive Divisional Overall Awards, recognizing top talent across solo, duet/trio, small group, large group, and production performances. These awards highlight the best of the best at each competition.

Love that they only offer Full Bloom Awards to the elite dancers. This encourages studios to place their dancers in the correct category.
